Shutter Styles/Options
As a custom manufacturer, California Shutters Inc. offers a wide range of different styles of shutters, which include three louver sizes, front or rear control options, many different frame styles, raised panel options, and custom divider rail placements. In addition, there is virtually no widow shape that we cannot treat. If you can imagine or draw it, we can probably make it.
Your choice of louver widths includes: 2-1/2", 3-1/2", and 4-1/2". Narrower louver widths are normally used for a more formal or traditional decor whereas larger widths usually complement more casual or contemporary settings. 4-1/2" louvers are wonderful for pool, lake, canal, or ocean views.
Our framed shutters are available in four different frame styles. We offer an "L" frame for typical outside mount installations and three "Z" frames (one standard frame and two decorative frames) for inside mount installations. The decorative molded "Z" frame adds a beautiful finished look to the shutters.
We can manufacture shutters with or without front tilt rods, which can maximize your views or panoramas. Another option is the choice of a divider rail or no divider rail for the shutters. A divider rail will allow louvers above and below the rail to operate independently. Keeping the louvers below the divider rail closed can add privacy or conceal wall space behind them.
Arches, sunbursts, and raked windows are our specialty. Many companies offer stock or laminated shutters in standard sizes only. Others purchase imported panels from other companies. We and our customers demand the best...so we manufacture our special shapes in the United States. An arched shutter or sunburst is one of the most stunning and decorative statements you can make with wood, and ours are second-to-none in the industry.
